It seems to me that Europeans do not understand why the Boxers Rebellion hapened in China in 1900s.
It happened because the Qing Dynasty had its currency pegged to Silver standard and the Qing Dynasty could not pay its debt. Therefore, the Qing dynasty (like Greece now) was thrown into the Dustbin of History. Not because of all those religious crap!
Greece has to default simple as that!
